Janai Durga Puja is one of the most renowned celebrations of Goddess Durga in Hooghly district, West Bengal. Bengali Traditional Pujo Trail Goralgacha Mukherjee bari Situated By the Saraswati river, Mukherjees were the Dewans of Nawabs of Murshidabad. Mukherjee Palace has a lovely thakurdalan, with an adjacent kachari bari. Goralgacha is also the famous birthplace of Ashutosh Mukhopadhyay, the Bengal tiger and Dr. Bonobihari Mukhopadhy on the life of whom the famous The Bengali film “Agniswar’ was made.

Our second point for Exotic Bangla Puja Parikrama is Janai and Baksa, where once Kulin Brahmins dominated. Polygamy, early marriage and sati were prevalent customs.There we will visit Um Villa, Banerjee Bari, Choudhury Bari, kali babus palace, Mitra palace. Dakshineswar kali mandir was designed after Mitras Krishna temple, Choudhury mansion. Was the birth place of our former finance minister Late Sachin Choudhury. and sculptor Shankho Choudhury After Janai and Baksa, we will have lunch at Mitra garden house.

Our next stop for Durga Puja celebrations in Bengal is Piyasara. Sarkar mansion. They were notable zamidars of this dolmoncha and the lion-studded arched gateway are the attractions.

We are concluding at the Dasghora legendary Biswas Bari and Roy Mansion. The main attractions are a beautiful terracotta temple, Thakurdalan, Rasmoncha, Dolmoncha, and the lion-studded gateway.
